Welsh badgers in snare horror
RSPCA inspectors are investigating the deaths of an entire family of badgers killed by snares.
Eleven corpses, some with snares still around their necks, were found dumped in a field near Caersws in Mid Wales.
Phil Lewis, leading the RSPCA inquiry, said the badgers, which are legally-protected animals, had suffered agonising deaths.
“This is the worst case I have ever seen,” he said. “It was quite sickening.”
