Gamekeeper fined for illegal snares

A gamekeeper who used illegal snares to trap foxes was yesterday fined £100 at Perth Sheriff Court.

Charles Morris, 22, of Madderty Village, Perthshire, admitted breaking the Wildlife and Countryside Act by setting the self-locking devices on land near Kinross.
