Badger dies after hours caught in a self-locking snare

A BADGER died after being trapped in an illegal self-locking snare.

The badger was discovered at about 6.30am on Monday on land close to Fen Lane, Grainthorpe, nr Grimsby.

RSPCA officers attended the scene and police are now investigating the incident.

A 57-year-old local man is assisting the police with their inquiries.
