Snaring Survey Website Launched

The League Against Cruel Sports has launched a new snare website – www.snaringsurvey.org.uk – to gather information on the extent of snaring in the UK.

The site is aimed at those who come into direct contact with snaring cases – namely, vets, wildlife crime officers and wildlife protection groups.

The website has three functions; an online report facility where information on new cases can be submitted directly; a survey of past snaring cases; and a call to vets to perform post mortems on animals which have died as a result of snaring injuries. This data will help to improve current knowledge of the physical effects of snaring on animals caught.
